Meet Our Players

  • Alaire Dandel

    Alaire is currently a high school senior and has played violin for 13 years. At school, she is part of the orchestra, robotics team, and the Varsity tennis team. In her free time, she loves to bake, go for runs, and spend time with her friends. Her favorite composers are Vivaldi and Dvořák.

  • Helen Zhang

    Helen is currently a sophomore in high school and has been playing violin for 7 years. She’s passionate about music and has played in Prelude Strings, Southern California Youth Symphony Orchestra, and is currently principal second violin of the Pacific Symphony Foundation Orchestra. Her favorite composers are Brahms, Shostakovich, and Tchaikovsky.

  • Robin Wang

    Robin Wang is currently a junior in high school and is a trilingual student who loves math, science and violin. Robin has played violin for 10 years and used to be a member in Pacific Symphony Santiago Strings in the year of 2022-2023. In his free time, Robin builds legos and watches movies. His favorite composer is Brahms.

  • Sally Chow

    Sally is currently a freshman at NYU and has been playing violin for 9 years. Some of her favorite memories involving music are getting to listen to Dvořák’s New World Symphony performed live and performing in a string quintet with some of her favorite people.

  • Leo Kitaen

    Leo Kitaen is currently a freshman at UCLA. He has been playing piano for 12 years and violin for 10 years. His favorite music-related memory is playing a solo performance in Spain with the Seraphim Symphony. Apart from music, he likes to fish, run, and cook (he makes some pretty mean chicken nuggets).
